Artistic Director and Conductor, David R. White

has been training boys and young men to sing for more than two decades. In 1994, he founded the Boy Choir of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1998 he became the Music Director of Florida’s Singing Sons Boychoir in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From 2001 to 2009, Mr. White was the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Atlanta Boy Choir in Atlanta, Georgia. He has also served as conductor of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Director of Music at the Second Presbyterian Church of Greenville. There, he founded an annual Summer Music Camp for children and adults. Under his direction, choirs have participated in numerous festivals throughout the world including the Prague International Choral Festival, the Pacific International Children’s Choir Festival, the Anchorage Choral Festival, the Cultural Olympiad in Greece, the Baltimore Boychoir Festival, the Southeast Festival of Song, and the Choral Olympics in Linz, Austria. His choirs have toured extensively throughout the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, England, China, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Estonia. He has been a conductor on the faculty at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan as well as the Csehy Summer School of Music in Philadelphia.

In addition to conducting, Mr. White has been a featured soloist with numerous choral organizations and orchestras throughout the Southeast. He was a member of Robert Shaw’s Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus from 1987 – 1990. Mr. White holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Georgia College and is active as a lecturer, adjudicator, and conductor for choral and vocal competitions, workshops, and festivals. He currently holds the position of Repertoire and Standards Chair for the Georgia Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.

Accompanist, Rosemary White

has been performing as an accompanist and solo pianist for more than 20 years. She has appeared in concerts throughout the United States and Europe. Mrs. White has earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and has taught music and piano at various educational institutions in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. She was the pianist for Florida’s Singing Son’s Boychoir in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; prior to that she was accompanist for the Boy Choir of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a frequent clinician and adjudicator for various contests and festivals. She has been on the faculty of the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan and the Csehy Summer School of Music in Philadelphia.
Rosemary and her husband, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Georgia Boy Choir, David R. White, have been married for 25 years and have three children.

Assistant Conductor, Duane White 

has been singing in Boy Choirs his whole life. He began singing for the Florida Singing Sons when he was 6 years old. When his family moved to Atlanta, he auditioned for the Atlanta Boy Choir and sang with them for 8 years. In 2010 Duane was a founding member of The Georgia Boy Choir with whom he is a chaperone and Deputy Liaison. Duane received his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Covenant College. Duane has sung in notable performance venues from all around the world - including Carnegie Hall, The Musikverein, The Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, St. Paul’s Cathedral and La Sagrada Familia. He also was a member of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra Chorus for notable performances including Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony and Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms.

In addition to his work as a vocalist, Duane has notable conducting and teaching experience. He has served as the music teacher for multiple private schools, teaching with an emphasis on practical choral experience based in musical excellence. He has also taught advanced courses including Music History and Conducting. He also served as the musical director for several scholastic theatrical programs. Duane is now teaching Music at Heritage Preparatory School in Atlanta, Ga.
